recycling food industry plastic film

Food Industry

Plastic Forests is able to recycle a wide range of used soft plastics from the food industry, including those with dry food residues. These soft plastics are rescued from landfill, recycled and reprocessed into high quality, recycled products.

We enable food manufacturers to achieve their sustainability and ‘zero waste to landfill’ goals, whilst creating a circular economy for these used soft plastics.

Please note:

We can only accept soft plastics for recycling if an equivalent volume is purchased as finished recycled products.

In order to efficiently transport and process soft plastics it must:

  • Be separated and baled
  • No liquid residue
  • Meet our additional criteria TBA

Not all areas in Australia can be serviced, and charges apply. Currently, there is a waiting list for our recycling service in parts of NSW and Victoria.  We are unable to service one-off collections unless the film is baled and with a full truckload – fees and charges apply.
